Sarah Finnegan is a photographer whose skills are focused mainly in journalism and sports. While she graduated from Penn State in 2013 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in photography, her journalism skills are credited to her four years of work at the award-winning student newspaper, The Daily Collegian. There, she worked as a staff photographer and served as photo editor for the year 2012. After graduating, she worked as a contract photographer for three years with Samford University merging her journalism skills with public relations to cover college athletics, student organizations, alumni events and produce promotional imagery. From August 2016 to September 2018, she served as the director of photography and primary photographer for Starnes Publishing, a company that produces seven monthly newspapers covering multiple communities in the greater Birmingham, Al area in addition to three annual, special publications including a football preseason magazine, an outdoor activities magazine and a city guide.
Sarah currently works as a freelance photographer, specializing in journalism, events, sports and promotional photography.
